Widgets Overview
System and Custom Widgets
The homepage widgets are categorized into two types: System Widgets and Custom Widgets. Here's a simple explanation of each:
System widgets
The System Widgets are predefined widgets provided by the application. They are built into the platform and offer out-of-the-box functionality to help users quickly access common features or information. The system widgets are listed below,

Find Any Datasets Anywhere
Search Bar
The search bar option allows users to search or find data within all or specific datasets. This will enable them to quickly find the needed data without browsing through unrelated information.
Users can select specific datasets, such as Data Catalog, Data Attributes, Business Glossary, Service Requests, Help & Resources, Project, and Question Wall, from the “All” dropdown menu. This feature allows users to identify relevant data quickly, increasing efficiency.
Data Stories Collection
The Data Stories Collection widget displays 9 data stories, allowing users to easily access and browse them. Users can scroll through the bar to quickly view multiple stories.

To add a Data Story to the homepage:
Go to Data Stories.
Select the story you want.
Click the nine dots menu > Add to Home Page > Add to Homepage Data Stories Collection.

To make the widget visible on your homepage:
Go to My Resources > Manage Homepage Widgets and select Data Stories Collection.
Reorder stories in the widget:
Administrators can reorder the data stories by clicking on the three dots beside the Data Stories Collection widget and select Manage Data Stories Collection. The Data Stories will be displayed to all the users in the selected order that adds maximum value.
Helpful Resources
A Helpful Resources widget displays a list of resources that can be used to assist users. These resources include Tutorials, User Manuals, FAQs, Best Practices, Case Studies, and Other Information that can help users get the most out of the application.
Business users can remove a widget by clicking the three dots > Remove option.
On the other hand, admin users can add more helpful resources by clicking the three dots > Manage Helpful Resources, and also remove them.
A pop-up displays to add more resources. Also, users can drag and drop resources to reposition them. Click +Add to add more resources. After entering the details, click +Add, and it will be displayed on the Home page.
My Bookmarks
The "My Bookmarks" widget displays unlimited bookmarks and shows the latest saved items at the top. The complete list of bookmarks can be viewed by scrolling the sidebar. Each bookmark includes an icon that allows actions such as edit, pin to header, or delete. Bookmarks can also be reordered directly within the widget.
All Requests
The "All Requests" widget displays service requests based on the user's role, including the Service Request ID, Summary, Current Status, and Age of the request.
Business User: Shows the most recent requests raised by the user.
Authors: Displays recent service requests raised by the user and requests awaiting their approval.
Clicking on the See All option redirects users to their Service Desk page.
My Requests
The ‘My Requests’ widget displays the logged-in user's five most recent open service requests. Clicking on the See All option redirects users to the Service Desk > My Requests tab.
Waiting for My Approval
The ‘Waiting for My Approval’ widget displays the ten recent open service requests that need the user's approval. It includes the task name, Status, and time stamp. Clicking on the See All option redirects users to the Service Desk > Waiting For My Approval.
My Assigned Tasks
The ‘My Assigned Tasks’ widget displays the five most recent assigned tasks related to the project. Clicking on the See All option redirects users to the My Project Tasks. There is an option to remove the widget by clicking on three dots > Remove.
My Frequently Used Data Objects
The "My Frequently Used Data Objects" widget displays the ten frequently accessed data objects. There is an option to remove the widget by clicking on three dots > Remove.
My Recently Used Data Objects
The "My Recently Used Data Objects" widget displays the ten recently accessed data objects. There is an option to remove the widget by clicking on three dots > Remove.
My Watchlist Alerts
The "My Watchlist Alerts" widget is designed to keep users informed about changes to specific data objects they monitor within the application. This widget displays a list of five recent alerts directly on the user's homepage. These alerts notify users of any updates, modifications, or relevant changes related to the data objects they have added to their watchlist. Clicking on the See All option redirects users to the Inbox. Users can remove the widget by clicking on the three dots > Remove.
My Recent Notifications
The "My Recent Notifications" widget displays the five most recent notifications received in the Inbox. Clicking on the See All option redirects users to their Inbox. There is an option to remove the widget by clicking on three dots > Remove.
Quick Guides
The "Quick Guides" widget serves as a resource for users to access instructional videos that provide detailed guidance on using different features within the application. These videos help users quickly learn and understand how to navigate various functionalities, perform tasks efficiently, and leverage the application's capabilities. Clicking on the See All option redirects users to the Data Stories page. Users can remove the widget by clicking on the three dots > Remove.
