About Dashboards
Dashboards support various data management tasks across different roles. Administrators and business stakeholders can access dashboards tailored to their needs. Dashboards offer customizable views, role-based security controls, and support for varying levels of complexity. Each dashboard enables efficient analysis and decision-making.
System Dashboards: Gain instant insights into key metrics without setup.
Data Lineage Dashboard: Visualize data flow and explore details (Sankey View).
Data Literacy Dashboard: Monitor crawled and documented data, as well as term creation, usage, and assignment to data objects, every month throughout the year.
Data Quality Dashboards: Monitor data health through reports on data quality rules and issues raised through the service desk.
Data Quality Scores Dashboard: Evaluate data completeness, accuracy, consistency, and timeliness.
Domain Relationship Dashboard: Visualize connections between terms and objects across domains.
Data Quality Last Execution Dashboard: Monitor the total number of objects associated with various dimensions and rules.
Custom Dashboards:
Create personalized dashboards with preferred reports and organization for efficient information retrieval.
Organize reports using drag-and-drop functionality and labels for easy management and organization.
Manage reports by adding, removing, arranging, and resizing them as needed.
Favorite Dashboards:
Each user receives a dedicated Favorite Dashboard for managing role-relevant reports.
Personalize the view by adding or removing reports.
Access control ensures data security by assigning reports to users with appropriate permissions.
Dashboard Security
The "Dashboard Security" allows administrators to control access to the system and custom dashboards, ensuring data security and user visibility.
Dashboard Types:
System Dashboards: Pre-built dashboards provide immediate insights into key metrics, eliminating the need for configuration.
Custom Dashboards: Allow users to create personalized dashboards with their preferred reports.
Favorites Dashboards: Individual user workspaces for managing and organizing reports based on their needs. (automatically created for each user.)
Security Features (Administrators only):
Control Access: Define who can view, manage, and add reports to different dashboard types.
Dashboard Permissions
OE_ADMIN can manage access permissions for dashboards (system, custom, and favorites).
Grant/Deny Access: Control which users or roles can view, manage, and add reports to different dashboards.
Bulk Permission Management: Efficiently update role permissions across multiple dashboards simultaneously.
Detailed Permission Management (Optional):
Individual Permissions: Add, modify, or delete metadata (view/edit) permissions for specific roles or users on individual dashboards.
Role-Based Access: Set metadata permissions for roles based on license type limitations.
Additional Actions:
Define Dashboard Admin: Assign a role as admin for a dashboard, granting them the highest permissions
Default Admin: OE_ADMIN or "ovaledge.role.admin" only
Delete Dashboards: Delete custom dashboards.

View Dashboard Details
In the Dashboard Security, "Author License" users can access a list of authorized dashboards with details including:
Name: The name of the dashboard.
Type: Indicates whether it's a System, Custom, or Favorite dashboard.
Description: Provides a brief explanation of the dashboard's purpose.
Created On: Shows the date the dashboard was created.
Created By: The name of the user who created the dashboard.
Authorized Roles & Users: Lists all roles and users with specific permissions for each dashboard.
Filtering and Sorting: Users can quickly locate specific dashboards by filtering or sorting by name, type, description, or permissions.
Create Custom Dashboards
Users can create customized dashboards based on their specific needs.
Navigate to "Administration > Security."
Select "Dashboards" under the "Security" module.
Click on the “Add Button”
Provide a clear title and description for the dashboard.
Edit Custom Dashboards
Go to "Security > Dashboards."
Hover over a dashboard and click the pencil icon.
Edit the title and description as needed.
Delete Custom Dashboards
Select the dashboards to delete.
Click the trash icon in the top-right corner. The selected dashboard will be deleted, but the reports will remain within the application.
System Dashboards
The pre-built system dashboards include essential data insights and metrics. These dashboards eliminate the need for complex setup or custom reports, providing immediate access to valuable information.
