Schedule Details

The OvalEdge schedule displays all scheduled jobs, tasks, and workflows in a single view. Schedules can either be defined by the system or created by the user with the following details:

  • Schedule Name: Displays the name of the schedule, which can be either user-defined or system-generated. Hovering over the name reveals the full name.

Note: Users with Author licenses can edit user-defined names.

  • Cron Entry (UTC): Displays the scheduled execution time based on the user's local time zone. Hovering reveals the actual time in text format.

  • Time Zone: Indicates the time zone in which the schedule is defined.

  • Next Execution: Displays the time of the next scheduled run in the user's local time zone. This enables users to plan tasks effectively, monitor job readiness, and manage dependencies.

  • User: Shows the name of the user who created the schedule.

  • Changed On: Shows the timestamp of the last update to the schedule.

  • Active: Shows if the schedule is currently running (Active) or paused (Inactive). New schedules are active by default. Users can deactivate schedules to stop their execution temporarily.

  • Class: Denotes categorizing or grouping tasks or processes based on specific attributes. These classes efficiently organize and manage scheduled activities by grouping similar jobs.

  • Schedule Type: Specifies the type of schedule. It can be one of the following:

    • System: Predefined by the application and cannot be edited.

    • System-Configurable: Created by the system but configurable by users.

    • User Defined: Created and managed entirely by users.

Access Control

Only users with an Author license can access the Schedules module. Users with the Role Admin privilege can modify both user-defined and system-configurable schedules.

User Actions
