# Security

Permissions determine which users can configure questions and curate descriptions.

## AI Prompt Question Management

* **Authors** can view prompt questions.
* Only **Super Admin users** with the required administrative configuration can add, edit, or delete prompt questions.

### **Add Questions**

Administrators can add AI prompt questions after selecting the required object type and description type.

![](https://content.gitbook.com/content/8fgltewNgYZ8ucAp7Svt/blobs/h3amcObLjPx6nFBkcwbZ/unknown.png)

* At the **Global** level for all applicable connectors or objects.
* At the **Connector-specific** level for a particular connector.

The following limits apply:

* Each question can contain up to **1,000** characters.
* A maximum of **100 questions** can be added at the Global or connector-specific level.

### **Edit or Delete Questions**

Administrators can update or remove questions from the AI Prompt question repository.

![](https://content.gitbook.com/content/8fgltewNgYZ8ucAp7Svt/blobs/KF1tj1OeefoZY7p1mBgF/unknown.png)

To edit or delete a question:

1. Select the question.
2. Open the available actions menu.
3. Select the required action.

The edit option is available only when a single question is selected.

Multiple questions can be selected and deleted together. Deleting a question from the repository also removes its associated answers.

### **Generate Descriptions Through AI**

AI Prompt can generate descriptions for supported Data Catalog objects and Business Glossary terms.

![](https://content.gitbook.com/content/8fgltewNgYZ8ucAp7Svt/blobs/6laELGYLV24AOR4Y4bds/unknown.png)

The AI uses the available metadata and the answers provided to prompt questions to generate:

* Business descriptions
* Technical descriptions
* Detailed descriptions

### **Questions from AI Prompt Questions**

Users with Meta-Write permission can open the AI description generator while editing an object.

![](https://content.gitbook.com/content/8fgltewNgYZ8ucAp7Svt/blobs/KGtJ1zVttMpYGRikAT8H/unknown.png)

By default, the AI description generator displays up to five applicable questions from the AI Prompt question repository.

#### **Connector-specific questions take priority over Global questions.**

For example:

* If five connector-specific questions and five Global questions are available, the five connector-specific questions are displayed.
* If three connector-specific questions and five Global questions are available, three connector-specific and two Global questions are displayed.

Descriptions can be generated even when all prompt questions have not been answered. However, incomplete information can result in a less accurate or less complete description.

### **Add More Questions**

Users can select Add more questions to include additional questions.

![](https://content.gitbook.com/content/8fgltewNgYZ8ucAp7Svt/blobs/Q0nLwr3iRGU5Emo3muw1/unknown.png)

Users can select additional questions from the repository or create them specifically for the current object.

Questions created for an individual object apply only to that object and are not automatically added to the global AI Prompt question repository.

### **Delete Questions from an Object**

Users can remove questions that are associated with an individual object.

![](https://content.gitbook.com/content/8fgltewNgYZ8ucAp7Svt/blobs/Z75TgUP2e3i65tRkJ33F/unknown.png)

Removing a question from an object does not delete the question from the AI Prompt question repository.

This allows the same repository question to remain available for other applicable objects.

### **Generate Description**

Users with Meta-Write permission can generate a description through AI.

![](https://content.gitbook.com/content/8fgltewNgYZ8ucAp7Svt/blobs/rkHRxF8m9jgz7DKL99LC/unknown.png)

The generated result uses available information such as:

* Object metadata.
* Object title or name.
* Connector information.
* Answers provided to prompt questions.

A description can be generated at any time. Completing all prompt questions is not mandatory.

### **Additional Prompt**

After AI generates a description, users can provide an additional prompt to refine the result.

![](https://content.gitbook.com/content/8fgltewNgYZ8ucAp7Svt/blobs/QKfPNx9AF9Bt66BBJWFz/unknown.png)

For example, an additional prompt can request the description to:

* Focus on business usage.
* Provide more technical details.
* Simplify the language.
* Include specific context.

The AI uses the additional instruction to generate a revised description.

### **Regenerate Description**

The Regenerate option creates another AI-generated description based on the available input.

![](https://content.gitbook.com/content/8fgltewNgYZ8ucAp7Svt/blobs/zcghgawOQ3AXCaVZ4RM1/unknown.png)

This allows users to request a new result without manually recreating the AI prompt configuration.

# Agent Instructions
This documentation is published with GitBook. GitBook is the documentation platform designed so that both humans and AI agents can read, navigate, and reason over technical content effectively. Learn more at gitbook.com.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the following URL with the `ask` and `goal` query parameters:

```
GET https://docs.ovaledge.com/release8.3/ai/ai-prompt/security.md?ask=<question>&goal=<user_goal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is what the user is ultimately trying to achieve, the reason they need the answer. Sharing it helps GitBook give you a better, more relevant answer. A goal is most helpful when it describes the outcome the user wants rather than restating the question. For example, with `ask=how do I create an API token`, a goal like `automate deployments from our CI pipeline` lets GitBook tailor the answer to that use case.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
