File Manager

New & Improved

Bulk Catalog and Profile Enhancements

In File Manager, bulk actions for cataloging and profiling files and folders have been enhanced to simplify metadata onboarding. Multiple selected files and folders can now be cataloged and profiled in a single workflow directly from the 9-Dots menu.

New actions include:

  • Catalog

  • Catalog and Profile

Supported options include:

  • Selected Items Only

  • Selected Item + Files

  • Selected Item + Subfolders

  • Selected Item + Subfolders & Files

For actions involving subfolders, users can define a Folder Level to control how many hierarchy levels are processed.

For optimal performance, deep hierarchy operations are supported up to 10 folder levels.

Impact Analysis

New & Improved

Corrected Last Updated By Field

In the Impact Analysis Summary, the Last Updated By field was cleared whenever a user added or deleted a source object. As a result, the field appeared blank and did not indicate who made the latest update.

With this improvement, the Last Updated By field is now updated correctly when source objects are added or deleted. Users can now clearly identify who performed the most recent change in the Impact Analysis Summary.

Lineage

New & Improved

Lineage | AI-Augmented Lineage

In the Lineage module, lineage extraction used deterministic parsing, which limited coverage for complex data transformations and increased turnaround time for supporting new lineage patterns. The functionality is now enhanced with AI-Augmented Lineage, which complements deterministic parsing with AI-driven intelligence to improve coverage for complex scenarios.

The following improvements have been implemented:

  • Standard lineage parsing is executed first, and AI-based parsing is automatically invoked for unsupported or complex logic

  • Coverage is improved for complex pipelines, including complex transformations and scripting logic

  • Pseudonymization is applied to mask sensitive data before processing through AI models

  • Confidence-based merging is implemented where high-confidence results are auto-merged into lineage and lower-confidence outputs are flagged for manual review

  • Zero-deployment updates are supported to enable prompt and template enhancements without requiring product deployments

  • Connector-level enablement is provided to allow controlled rollout and phased adoption

  • Currently supported for RDBMS connectors and Power BI with initial focus on complex M-code scenarios.

OvalEdge APIs

New & Improved

Delta Load Support for Data Quality Rules API

The Data Quality Rules API has been enhanced to support more efficient incremental data retrieval. Previously, the /api/dataquality/getDQRules API returned the full dataset on every request and did not support filtering by update date, making delta loads difficult for integration and migration scenarios.

With this improvement, the API now supports an updatedate parameter with timestamp precision, allowing users to retrieve only Data Quality rules modified on or after a specified date.

Additional enhancements include improved response usability for downstream consumers and more efficient handling of incremental loads.
