Showcasing Recommendations in the Object Summary

AI-generated term recommendations can now be accepted or rejected directly from the Object Summary in the Data Catalog.

Each term recommendation can be validated by selecting Accept (✔) or Reject (✖).

• Accepted recommendations are immediately applied to the corresponding data object.

• If multiple recommendations are available for a data object, all are displayed for review.

• Each recommendation can be evaluated individually to select the most relevant term.

Enhanced Data Classification Recommendation Model with Data Type-Aware Scoring

The recommendation model now considers data types when recommending business glossary terms, improving accuracy.

• The system compares the data type of a data object (e.g., int, char, varchar) with the data types of objects already associated with a glossary term. If the data types match, the smart score for that term increases by +10.

Example: Suppose the glossary term "Transaction Date" is already linked to Date data type columns across the system.

• When the model evaluates a new column, "Order Date" of Date type, it identifies a data type match.

• The smart score for recommending "Transaction Date" increases by +10 points, making it a stronger candidate.

However, if the system evaluates "Transaction ID" (an int column), no data type match occurs, so no additional points are added. This reduces the chance of irrelevant suggestions.

• Bulk Ticket Creation from GDQ Results: Select results from the GDQ Results page and create service desk tickets in bulk using the 9-dots menu at the top-right corner.

  • Create one ticket per table.

  • Create one ticket per table column.

• Add GDQ - Teams Visibility in Governance Roles: Governance Role dropdown now includes Teams, allowing role assignment to Teams during GDQ creation.

• Highlighted Column Entries: The “Entries Found” column in GDQ Results now highlights specific columns after execution.

• Configure Terms: Term configuration supports adding multiple terms with AND / OR conditions.

• Add Governed Data Query: The Add GDQ form now includes fields to select key governance roles:

• GDQ View Results Filter Added: A column-based filter has been added to the GDQ View Results page to search and highlight specific columns after execution.

ROPA

ROPA Enhancements

• Configure ROPA Attributes: All dropdowns in Configure RoPA Attributes are now editable. Administrators can define, manage, and customize dropdown fields used in Records of Processing Activities (RoPA). Fields can be added, edited, or removed to align forms.

• Field Value: The description field in ROPA is expanded to 10,000 characters. All other fields remain limited to 1,000 characters.

• Support for Custom and System Views: The GDPR ROPA module supports System and Custom Views.

• Automatic Alerts: The system sends automatic alerts to stewards one day before the end of a Processing Activity, ROPA Report, or Retention Period.

• Enhanced Field Configuration: The ROPA Processing Activity Summary page now includes improved field options,

  • Select "Indefinite" or leave End Date blank for ongoing activities.

  • Enter custom values when choosing "Specify Others" in Security Control in Data Storage or Collection Point Parties in Data Processing.

  • Select "Interns" under Data Subjects with External/Internal options.

  • Choose the Retention Period in Days, Months, or Years.

  • Fill in the Country field when data is transferred to another country.

A new module, Policy Manager, is introduced to create, manage, and enforce data policies. It supports regulatory compliance, enhances governance, and ensures data security across the organization.

• Policy Changes Captured in Audit Trails: All policy changes—name updates, action additions/deletions, user who modified, and timestamps—are recorded in Audit Trails.

• Policy Version: A policy version is a specific iteration created with each change—driven by regulations, compliance, or business needs.

• Related Policies: Interconnected rules or guidelines that collectively support compliance, risk management, and operational consistency across the organization.

• Import Policy: Enables linking to policies from internal or external repositories, with automatic updates from the source, removing the need for manual revisions.

• Link Policies to Data Catalog Objects: Policies can be linked to Data Catalog objects to associate governance and compliance rules with cataloged assets.

GDQ Compliance Data Migration	This job transfers entries from the deprecated GDQ table to the active GDQ table.
Migrate Ropa Dropdown Data	This job migrates data from multiple ROPA tables into a single unified ROPA table.
Assign and Recommend Terms for Columns	This job processes an Excel file provided as input, which includes the objects to consider and an Auxiliary Domain, along with the terms to be considered for the process. It creates a Data Classification Model and runs the custom process. It then assigns/recommends terms to the specified columns by evaluating keyword matches with the data in Snowflake for the tables and views listed in the Excel file.
