Expanded Support for Hyphens and Underscores in Object Names
Several areas of the OvalEdge application platform restricted the use of special characters in object names, including Business Glossary, Data Catalog, Tags, and Data Products. As a result, names containing common formats such as "Prefix - Term Name" or values with underscores (_) could trigger validation errors, requiring users to modify naming conventions during creation, updates, API operations, or bulk uploads.
With this enhancement, hyphens (-) and underscores (_) are now supported across applicable object names (Business Glossary, Data Catalog, Tags, and Data Products). Users can create and manage objects using familiar naming formats without validation errors. Validation rules have also been updated to display a clear message listing only the characters that are not allowed, based on the current system configuration.

Resolved Missing Top Values in Table Summary
In Data Catalog, an issue where the Top Values field remained blank after a table was successfully profiled has been resolved. Other profiling details were displayed correctly, but the most common values were not shown on the table summary page.
The display logic has been corrected to ensure Top Values are populated and displayed after profiling.

Fixed Stuck Service Requests in Approval Process
In Service Desk, an issue where some service requests became stuck and could not move to the next approval step has been resolved. In certain cases, requests approved through bulk actions did not display the required approval options when reopened, preventing further progress.
The approval workflow has been corrected to ensure requests move to the next stage properly and display the appropriate approval actions.

Easier Access to Data Quality Rule Failed Value Reports
Data Quality Rule notifications included a link to download failed value reports. However, users could access the file only after logging in to the OvalEdge application, which created challenges for business users who received the notification but did not have access to the application, or for users who were not logged in when they opened the email.
With this improvement, failed value reports can now be accessed directly from the notification link without requiring users to log in to the application. Users can open and download the report from the email, regardless of whether they have application access.

Resolved Missing Lineage for Cognos Packages
In IBM Cognos Analytics, an issue where lineage was not generated for crawled Cognos packages has been resolved. Although package objects were successfully imported and displayed, their connections to the underlying database tables were not being created.
The lineage process has been corrected to establish the expected relationships between Cognos package elements and the corresponding database tables.

Resolved Inconsistent Masking Policy Assignments
In Data Access Management, an issue in which a masking policy remained in effect even after the associated business term assignment failed has been resolved. When a business term linked to a masking policy could not be assigned, the term was removed, but the masking policy continued to appear on the column, creating an inconsistency between the term and its masking policy assignment.
The rollback process has been corrected to ensure that if the assignment fails, both the business term and masking policy are removed, keeping the assignments consistent.

Fixed QlikSense Metadata Export Job Processing Issue
In Advanced Jobs, an issue where the "Qlik Sense Metadata Export Service" advanced job remained stuck after receiving a response from the Qlik Sense server has been resolved. The job successfully connected to the server and received the required information, but processing did not continue, leaving the job in a running state.
The job processing logic has been corrected to ensure the response is handled properly and the job completes successfully.

In Security, an issue where session cookies were not consistently marked as secure across all application responses has been resolved. In some cases, the session cookie was sent without the required security setting after authentication, potentially increasing the risk of session information exposure over unsecured connections.
The cookie handling process has been updated to ensure the secure setting is applied consistently, helping protect session information during communication with the application.
Resolved Security Vulnerabilities in JavaScript Library
In Platform Security, an issue where an outdated JavaScript library contained known security vulnerabilities has been resolved. The application was using an older version of a third-party library that could expose the system to security risks.
The library has been upgraded to a secure version that addresses the identified vulnerabilities and improves overall application security.
Resolved Exposure of Account Details in Responses
In Security, an issue where certain account-related details (Passwords, password secrets, JWT Tokens, Roles of Users) were exposed in application responses has been resolved. Some responses included information that should not have been visible, increasing the risk of unauthorized access and misuse.
Response filtering and access controls have been strengthened to prevent the exposure of sensitive account information and to ensure that only appropriate information is returned.
Security Fix for Service Desk Comment Permissions
In Security, an issue where comments could be added to Service Desk requests without the required access permissions has been resolved. In some cases, requests that were not accessible could still receive comments or messages, which created a risk of unauthorized changes to restricted records.
Access validation has been strengthened to ensure that only requests with the appropriate permissions can be viewed or updated. Unauthorized comment and message actions are now blocked.
Resolved Unauthorized Access Validation Gap
In Security, an issue where certain records or files (service request details such as summary, description, requester, approval details) could be accessed without proper permission checks has been resolved. In some cases, modifying request details could allow access to information that should not have been available.
Additional access validation has been implemented to ensure that only authorized users can view or access information.
Resolved Unauthorized Approval Delegation Changes
In Service Requests, an issue where approval responsibilities could be delegated on behalf of another account without proper authorization has been resolved. In some cases, delegation settings may be changed by someone other than the account owner, increasing the risk of unauthorized changes to approval assignments.
Authorization checks have been strengthened to ensure that only the account owner can create or modify approval delegations. Unauthorized delegation requests are now blocked.
Resolved Unencrypted Sensitive Data Storage
In OvalEdge, an issue where sensitive information stored in the OvalEdge database was saved without encryption has been resolved. Data collected through profiling and other application features was stored in a readable format, creating a security risk.
Encryption has been implemented to protect stored data and improve data security. The advanced job “Re-Encrypt DB Sensitive Data” re-encrypts sensitive database information using updated encryption keys to ensure data security and compliance.
