# Recent Search

Clicking on the Search bar displays the logged-in user's five recently searched keywords in a drop-down list, allowing users to quickly revisit and access previously searched keywords. Selecting any recent searches directly navigates to the corresponding keyword's search results page.

## Search based on Tags

Users can specifically search for objects associated with a tag through the tag summary page using the "Total Resources" section.

## Search based on Report Level

Users can control report visibility in Global Search using the Report Level filter. This filter allows users to view only the main reports or include sub-reports when required. This ensures high-level reports remain easy to discover while retaining access to sub-reports when required.

The Report Level filter appears in the filter panel above the Report Group filter and includes two options.

* **Reports**: Displays only parent or main reports in the search results.
* **Sub-Reports**: Displays sub-reports along with parent reports in the search results.

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.ovaledge.com/home/global-search/recent-search.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
