# Connectors

The "Connectors" tab tracks changes to connections used by OvalEdge. It captures information whenever a user:

* Establishes a new connection (Add)
* Modifies an existing connection (Update)
* Deletes a connection (Delete)

The audit log records the following details:

* **Connector Details:**
  * Name
  * Type (e.g., RDBMS, File, Reports)
* **Action:** Add, Update, or Delete
* **Updated By:** The user who made the change
* **Created By:** The user who created the connector (for adds)
* **Audit Date:** Timestamp of the action

**Sorting and Filtering:** Audit details can be sorted/filtered by Connector Name, Connector Type, Action, Date, and Created By.

**Example:** If an S3 connection is established, the following information is audited:

| Connection Name | Connection Type | Action | Updated By | Audit Date | Created Date |
| --------------- | --------------- | ------ | ---------- | ---------------------- | ------------ |
| Connection Name | Connection Type | Action | Updated By | Audit Date | Created Date |
| S3              | File            | ADD    | Admin      | 2023-12-20 06:41:24 PM | Admin        |

## Querying This Documentation
If you need additional information that is not directly available in this page, you can query the documentation dynamically by asking a question.

Perform an HTTP GET request on the current page URL with the `ask` query parameter, and the optional `goal` query parameter:

```
GET https://docs.ovaledge.com/administration/audit-trails/connectors.md?ask=<question>&goal=<endgoal>
```

`ask` is the immediate question: it should be specific, self-contained, and written in natural language.
`goal` is optional and describes the broader end goal you are ultimately trying to accomplish on behalf of the user. GitBook uses it to tailor the answer towards what is most useful for that goal.

The response will contain a direct answer to the question and relevant excerpts and sources from the documentation.

Use this mechanism when the answer is not explicitly present in the current page, you need clarification or additional context, or you want to retrieve related documentation sections.
